Christmas is right around the corner and festivities are in full swing!

Falmouth is a wonderful place to feel the Christmas buzz, with an array of unique and exciting festive activities for the whole family to enjoy.

From singing, a screening of one of the best Christmas films ever to stepping back in time with The Vikings!

There’s plenty of events to get stuck into this season, and here’s what you have to look forward to...

Late Night Shopping: December 17th

Late night shopping is a fantastic evening, filled with delicious food, stunning decorations, festive cheer and it’s the best way to get your shopping done and dusted! So if you’re struggling to get everything organised, you still have the 17th to save the day. Falmouth provides a stunning location, creating a wonderful atmosphere filled with warmth and plenty of mince pies to tuck into, what’s not to love?

There’s lots to look forward to on the final night of late night shopping - sorry parents but Disney’s Frozen is back! Youngsters will love meeting the magical characters, while also catching sight of the friendly reindeers. Get hands on with crafts, enjoy festive treats, have a little sing-song and watch a puppet show within this fabulous winter wonderland.

Viking Winterfest: 12th & 13th December

Experience something a little different this weekend. Visit the National Maritime Museum, you’ll soon be excited with the wintry wonders you’ll discover. The Vikings are in town and the whole family can discover festive stories and tales behind the Viking world.

Get stuck into Scandinavian creative crafts, take a visit and meet Old Man Winter and perhaps he’ll give you a little something to take home with you this Christmas. A truly fantastic event to get you into the festive spirit and have the chance to step back in time.

Live Nativity at The Moor, Events Square: 13th December

Head on down to Events Square at noon, for a real family treat. Watch a walking nativity filled with real animals this December. The nativity will leave from Events Square and walk through towards The Moor, performing with little stops along the way.

You will experience the magic and story of Christmas, and feel the buzz of festivities following you with this brilliant nativity. There’s also going to be a petting corner, a perfect adventure for young children and something everyone will adore.

Visit The Christmas Tree Festival: 14th-31st December

Be surrounded by a winter wonderland this season, with beautifully decorated trees at the Christmas Tree Festival. Enter All Saints Church and be enchanted by the stunning 38 trees, all decorated wonderfully by schools, churches, shops, charities, clubs and friends. You won’t regret popping in to see these bright and colourful creations. Try not to get jealous!

Screening of Elf on The Moor: 16th December

Christmas Carnival: 19th December

Music, light and festivities will be in full force from 1:00pm at the Brewery Yard and making its way to Events Square. Everyone’s welcome to dress up and join in with the fun, as long as children are accompanied by an adult. Walk among the festive buzz of the town, enjoy the fun and vibrant atmosphere filled with awesome costumes and plenty of festive cheer!

Harmony Choir: 24th December

Feel the warmth and spirit of the Harmony Choir this Christmas, join the 100-year-old Christmas Eve tradition of the choir as they make their way from the Watersports Centre at 10:30am and walk through the town. They will be stopping and spreading festive cheer at Church Corner, Church Street car park and Market Street. Meet them at The Moor at 1:00pm for their grand finale!
