Family Fun This February Half Term in Cornwall

February half term is approaching and it’s the perfect time to have some family fun. With a whole range of exciting events happening all across the Duchy, we’ve got the low down on what’s not to be missed.

Meet Stick Man At The Eden Project

Stick Man: If you have little ones, Eden Project is the perfect location for the whole family to adore. Head on down and meet Eden’s Stick Man, attend the trail and view screenings of the brand new film. While you meet the stick man, you can also get messy with craft fun and good old-fashioned pooh sticks.

Creepy Crawlies: In need of a challenge? The kids will love getting up close to a whole range of creepy crawlies, from cockroaches to spiders! Are you up for it?

Survival: Get hands on with fire building, shelter making and lots more activities. (Just in case you get lost in the Cornish wilderness one day…)

Ice skating: Don’t forget Eden’s ice skating rink is open until Sunday 21 February – so get your skates on because you’re in for an action-packed day of fun!

Getting Muddy At Cornish Seal Sanctuary

Cornish Seal Sanctuary is always updating their events calendar with exciting new events throughout the year.

During February half term, they’re inviting you along to have some muddy fun! Whether rain or shine, you can embrace the Cornish weather by experiencing their Piskie Puddle Trail.

There’s plenty of fun to be had, whether you want to go Welly Wanging or take part in Woodland crafts.

Everything you would normally expect such as the sanctuary’s talks and feeds which will still be running – just turn up for a little extra fun this February half term.

Pirates Ahoy at Pendennis Castle


Visit Pendennis Castle this Feb half term and join in with the Pirates! Enjoy the fresh Cornish air and stunning views of the seafront while the kids are busy staring out to sea. Pirates will be taking over the castle, telling you fearsome tales and historical fun. Get that eye patch out, and your finest captain’s hat!

Heartlands Market Weekend


Visit Heartlands for an entertaining day. The whole family will love this treat, filled with local crafts, produce, gifts and entertainment for everyone to get stuck into. Visit on the 20th and 21st for community enjoyment to be had – explore stalls from 11am and browse until your heart is content!

Paradise Park: Little Pirates and Fairies Quiz

Paradise Park is inviting you to their magical Little Pirates and Fairies Quiz, running from 13th to 21st February. Add a sprinkle of magic into your February half term, and also look forward to indulging in a sweet treat from completing the quiz! We’re talking gold coins, pink and white marshmallows and lollipops - they're all up for grabs.

The fun doesn’t stop there because you have the chance to meet Long John Tredinnick along with his colourful parrots - whilst on your quest to find the hidden treasure.

Discover the park, take a walk along the rope bridge, climb the nets or find shelter in the in-door JungleBarn. If the weather’s looking pleasant, expect beautiful sights of macaw and get the chance to feed a few parrots during your visit.

Cornwall Air Ambulance Open Day

Cornwall Air Ambulance is holding an open day and want you to get involved. There’s plenty of entertainment to keep you busy, visit the pop-up charity shop filled with marvellous goodies. Attend the Teddy Tombola, raffle, lucky dip and get close to the life saving helicopter whilst meeting the brilliant crew.

A small donation is all they ask for – go enjoy a lovely day out!

Get Star struck at the National Maritime Museum


Go on search for stunning constellations hidden all around the National Maritime Museum, gaze at the stars and discover their true meanings.

Or take a visit to the Planetarium and attend the Star-struck Supersized Extravaganza, gain a 360-degree view of our magical solar system.

If you want to get hands on, get creative at Interplanetary Crafts – make a moon and stars mobile, build and fire a paper moon rocket and more!

Walk-About at TrebahGardens


If the sun graces us with its presence this February half term, why not take a walk among the beautiful surroundings of Trebah Gardens.

Explore and discover the magical sub-tropical paradise with a stunning coastal backdrop. Wander through the winding paths and make your way down to the secluded beach on the Helford river. It will be a perfect getaway to unwind from the stresses of everyday life, and enjoy what nature has to offer.
