A beach walk in the Winter isn’t the same without your pooch running by your side - so what are the best beaches to explore this month?

It’s time to wrap up and grab the lead because we’re about to share with you a few locations that you and your dog are bound to love - and don't forget to tell us your favourites!

Penrranporth: West Cornwall

Perranporth is a three-mile-long stunning Cornish beach situated in West Cornwall. Surrounded by spectacular dunes and golden sand, creating the perfect spot to stretch your legs and marvel the Cornish coast.

This beach actually allows dogs all year round, so it’s no surprise that it’s cherished by families and beach goers. Your dog will have all the room in the world to go mad, while you enjoy the crisp air and stroll along the stretch of sand.

If the beach walk isn’t enough, there are outstanding cliff tops which are sure to make you and your dog happy chappies, accompanied by gorgeous views! There is plenty of parking nearby, and the town centre is easily accessible if you fancy popping in.

Watergate Bay: North Cornwall

Dogs are more than welcome down at Watergate Bay. While the brisk wintery air may be too much for you to handle - your dog won’t have a care in the world with two miles of this sandy beach to keep them entertained!

Bring your wellies because there’s plenty to explore, including rock pools for you and your dog to make splash.

Once you’re all worn out, wind down with a visit to The Beach Hut and wrap your hands around a warm drink. It's known as one of Cornwall’s best beach-side hangouts, dogs are also welcome and you can enjoy a bite to eat from their tasty bistro menu.

It’s been a successful day by the seaside, now you and your pup can sit back and watch the sunset.

Lantic Bay Beach: South East Cornwall

If you and your dog are after a challenge, Lantic Bay may be for you.

This spectacular beach is situated between Fowey and Polperro, described as one of Cornwall’s hidden gems. It will take you about 20 minutes to make your way down to the beach, with the help of clearly marked footpaths leading you to the beauty that is Lantic Bay.

This beach is a sand and shingle beach filled with tons of character. This cove is surrounded by towering cliffs, and glorious countryside to feast your eyes upon. A perfect spot to find a little escapism, serenity and will give a sense of adventure for both you and your dog to adore.

Hayle Beach AKA Mexico Towans: West Cornwall

Hayle Beach, locally known as Mexico Towans is a glorious sandy beach that covers four miles.

This beach stretches from the Hayle estuary to Gwithian and Godrevy, a perfect location for the whole family to enjoy! Surrounded by grand dunes, it’s a fantastic spot to get everyone exploring, including your furry friend.

Your dog will be ecstatic, jumping into the waves and running in and out of the dunes. It’s a beautiful setting, with views stretching towards Godrevy lighthouse - it seems the sand and sea are endless here.

Par Sands Beach: South East Cornwall

Par Sands, located between Fowey and St Austell is the perfect location in South East Cornwall for a relaxing stroll with your dog.

In Summer, it's a busy spot and very popular with tourists. Visit in the Winter and it turns into a tranquil location with a beautiful backdrop of grassy sand dunes. The surrounding area provides excellent views of the Roseland Peninsula and old china clay works - you’ll certainly find peace here.

This dog friendly beach is such a lovely break for a quick run along the half mile long sandy beach, accompanied by the Cornish fresh air.
