Cream Tea Spots In Cornwall

cream tea

We love tea. We love scones. We love cream teas, especially in Cornwall. So let’s take a look at a few places to grab some of the tastiest cream teas throughout the Duchy.

Goldolphin Arms

st michaels mount

Goldophin Arms is in a gorgeous position overlooking the island of St Michael’s Mount.

Take a seat within the window, with stunning views of the Cornish coast accompanied by delicious cream tea. It’s the perfect spot to escape after a chilly walk on the beach.

Feel relaxed in this friendly atmosphere. Whether you're after an afternoon tea, pudding or a hug in a mug – you’ll find Godolphin a location to find warmth and comfort, in no time at all.

Trevaskis Farm

You will find Trevaskis Farm near Hayle, a thriving farm – growing delicious fruit and vegetables all year round.

Trevaskis is well known for their generous portion sizes when it comes to their tasty treats. All of the food here is produced from the highest quality ingredients and a cream tea is certainly on the menu.

A modern restaurant, with friendly service, open spaces, all within a beautiful farm. A great value cream tea could be the perfect indulgence after exploring what the farm has in store.

If you like what you see (and taste!), head into the farm shop and maybe you can take a little treat home with you.

Dolly’s Tea Room

Dolly’s Tea Room is located in the heart of Falmouth. With delicious cream tea and a cute dog chilling at your feet – what more could you ask for? The window seat is a lovely spot, where you can sit among colourful cushions and watch Falmouth do its thing out of the window.

Dolly’s creates a relaxing atmosphere, with little touches everywhere you look. There’s magazines, cake, fancy teacups, all within the confines of your granny’s living room – well actually it’s a Georgian room but it's close enough!

The tearoom remains a quaint location to escape the hustle and bustle of the streets. Come in and unwind, and don’t forget to give Hebe a stroke when you see her – your furry friend is also welcome to join you alongside your cream tea.

Receive your cream teas upon a beautiful plate, with a choice of warm plain or fruit scones. The perfect pick me up during a spot of shopping or walk through town.

Despite being a traditional tea room during the day, it soon turns into a “candlelit wine bar serving tapas, and wines by the glass, jug, and bottle”. You wouldn’t believe it – it’s a spot not to miss!

The Metropole

The Metropole, located in Padstow has a selection of afternoon tea options to choose from. Whether you have a craving of a standard Cornish cream tea, or your friend’s eyeing up the finger sandwiches – you can all get what you fancy.

Admire the beautiful north Cornish coast. The Metropole offers stunning views of the sea and the harbour, making it a lovely place to unwind and relax after a busy morning. The hotel has an AA Rosette for fine dining, and pride themselves on serving delicious food using fresh and local produce.

Sometimes a pot of tea, homemade scone, strawberry jam and a splodge of clotted cream is all that you need.

Black Rock Beach Café

Black Rock Beach Café serves delicious food, right beside Millendreath beach, near Looe. Using only the best local ingredients, their cream teas are an indulgent delight.

The café has become so popular within three years of opening, it now has a ‘Certificate of Excellence’ TripAdvisor rating and loved by both locals and visitors.

It’s a hidden gem, and welcomes dogs into their cosy space right beside the seaside.

If you are after a cream tea or a bite to eat, these spots are the perfect treat to unwind and grab a little something sweet.
