Why Is Cornwall The Best Place To Live?

Cornwall is the best place to live in the world – who’s with us?

Today we’re sharing with you why we love breathing in that Cornish air and why you should love it here, as much as we do…

No one cares if you wear shorts all year round

Everyone in Cornwall knows someone who wears shorts all year round. There’s nothing wrong with it, in fact it’s rather comfy and the perfect outfit choice for heading to the beach any time of the year.

You keep working those shorts Cornwall…

It’s a dog’s paradise

We’re dog lovers, and what a spectacular location for our pups to have a field day (or beach day).

With plenty of wide open spaces to go wild in, our dogs are in paradise during their walks along stretches of sand, beautiful woodland and coastal cliffs. They’re always on a mission with brand new places to explore!

Wellies are a fashion statement

We love wellies, and most of us gain a little thrill when it’s time to purchase a new pair…

Colourful, textured, chunky… just throw them our way. Cornwall can be a muddy, sandy and a chilly place at times - so wellies are a life saver.

The community spirit

The Cornish community are always supporting each other in times of need. We constantly see this on our Facebook page, in the local news and events, or simply chatting in the street.

Everyone knows each other, making it a lovely community to rely on.

Our Local Heroes Awards are back this year, and we cannot wait to see what this year has in store for those who make a difference within the community!

The Cornish pasty

Of course, there is a continuous debate on the best Cornish pasty in Cornwall but all that matters is that they are something special.

Whether you enjoy a Philps beside the harbour side, or a Rowe’s during a weekend of shopping – they’re the perfect pick me up.

Who else gets a shiver when they spot a Greggs up north?

Stunning beaches and gorgeous sea views

Cornwall is so lucky to be surrounded by rugged coastline, golden sandy beaches and secluded spots.

We can find the perfect locations to escape from the stresses of everyday life in Cornwall’s beautiful coves, coastal walks or hidden gems we don’t want to share with anyone else!

Grub and cider

st ives

Speaking of beautiful sea views, we are fortunate to have loads of places to grab some delicious grub and Cornish cider right beside the sea.

There are plenty of restaurants and cafés, using the very best locally sourced ingredients for delicious fishy dishes and creamy desserts.

It’s not difficult to find a relaxing spot to enjoy with your friends and family to grab a cuppa and watch the sunset kiss the ocean.

Music festivals

Music festivals are a magical experience in Cornwall, with amazing events happening all across the Duchy.

If you fancy dancing the night away beside the sea side try one of these: Totally 80s at The Watering Hole, Boardmasters or Looe Music Festival.

Or maybe you’d like to attend “the greatest house party… in a field” with Leopallooza?

We also cannot wait to see Tom Jones do his thing at Eden Sessions this year, surrounded by Eden’s beauty. Who's joining us?

Jam before the cream. Always.

We’ll never forget the one main rule we have here, in Cornwall.

Always put the jam on before the cream.

Aren’t Cornish cream teas such a joy? You can enjoy them all year round in a whole number of locations throughout Cornwall, with those beautiful sea views.

Check out some brilliant spots you can grab a scrumptious delight right here.

We have the best radio station!
