Let’s find out what Cornwall has in store for us over the weekend!

Entertaining Angels, Veryan Parish Hall, Truro

Following Veryan Players great success with the Vicar of Dibley, their Spring show production has been announced. Entertaining Angels will kick off tomorrow, with shows across the weekend.

Entertaining Angels, by Richard Everett is a story about a clergy wife, Grace who spends her life on her best behaviour. After her husband’s death, Grace decides from then on - she's going to do as she wishes!

If you’re after an afternoon filled with laughter, grab your tickets because it’s going to be one not to be missed.

Viking Voyagers Exhibition, National Maritime Museum

On Sunday, the highly anticipated Viking Voyagers Exhibition will be coming our way.

Take a step back in time and discover the rich history of the Vikings. This exhibition will be running up until January 2017, showcasing the stories, life and impact the Vikings had all over the world, including Cornwall.

You’ll be able to hear stories, get up close to remarkable antiques and a magnificent full scale replica cargo ship. The whole family can enjoy this dynamic part of the museum.

Who knows what you will find…

The museum is also hosting another exhibition: ‘How Europe Saw The World’. This reveals the experience of pioneering voyagers from over 400 years ago, understanding their experiences and descriptions of their journeys. Learn about cultural differences and view detailed copperplate engravings - a real family treat to top up your history knowledge.

Go on a Doc Martin Tour

Are you a huge fan of the TV show Doc Martin? Then you will absolutely love this guided tour available in the setting of Port Isaac.

Explore the seaside town, Portween and admire this picturesque fishing village. It’s no wonder this was chosen for the filming location, with its Cornish charm and breath taking views.

The tours are run daily at 11am and 1pm, lasting for roughly an hour long – costing £12 per person.

The fishing village is packed with rich history so there will be lots of fun facts to learn! The tour guide is packed with knowledge about the show - sharing with you many interesting facts that most people don’t know about!

Explore hidden paths, visit the many filming spots from the famous TV show and admire the beautiful views surrounding you.

Don’t forget to snap yourself outside Doc Martin’s house!

Legally Blonde, Redruth Regal Cinema

Legally Blonde – The Musical performed by RAOST, has hit Regal Cinema with this award winning show.

The story is based on the novel Legally Blonde by Amanda Brown, and you have probably seen it on screens in the 2001 film featuring Reese Witherspoon.

Meet Elle Woods, a sorority girl who decides to enrol at Harvard Law School in the quest to win back her ex-boyfriend. It’s a wonderful story of how a young girl finds out that she can use her knowledge of law to help others.

The show has a great cast, with the show directed by Helen Hartshorn, musical direction from Scott Watters and set design by Ben Blaber. It’s a show for the whole family to enjoy. 

The Cornish Arms Beer and Mussel Festival, Padstow

Head on down to Padstow for a jam-packed weekend of delicious grub and loads of family fun.

It’s free to attend, with lots of entertainment of live music and loads of food like bacon baps, curries and of course, mussels to get your hands on.

Watch chef demos from Alex Clark and Stephane Delourme, sip upon cider and sit back and enjoy the entertainment!

… and then quiz it up!

Every other Sunday at 8:30pm The Cornish Arms holds a quiz night.

It’s time to get competitive and try and reach the number one top spot against locals and others wanting a piece of the action.

Not only will it be a fun filled night, the top three teams will also take a little something home with them.

Each quiz night is £2 per person, with proceedings going towards Padstow RNLI.

What a great way to end The Beer and Mussel Festival!

Glendurgan invites you to welcome spring, admiring bursting flowers and flowering trees.

Bring along your camera to make sure you capture those beautiful shots!.

Keep your eyes peeled for beautiful flowers such as primrose and camellias. As spring fully arrives you will be able to view the bright and wonderful bluebells, aquilega flowers and so much more.

Stroll whilst admiring the views and watch as birds find comfort among the vibrant surroundings.

Have some Easter fun with Happy Days

Happy Days is holding an Easter event this Saturday, 9:30am – 12:30pm. Welcoming everyone in the community to join in with the fun!

Expect a morning filled with face painting, balloon modelling, yummy cake and Easter crafts. Everyone can get stuck in, creating a great morning for the whole family to enjoy.

All the money raised will go towards supporting Children’s Hospice South West.

There’s something for everyone this weekend in Cornwall, so where will you be heading?
