Sunday Roasts In Cornwall


Cornwall is a great place to find good old fashioned, home cooked Sunday roasts. From modern hotels overlooking the sea, to cosy town pubs - you will find a Sunday lunch which will suit the whole family.

The Ship Inn, Parr

The Ship Inn located in Parr, provides a lovely spot within an 18th century inn. With its relaxed atmosphere and warm welcome, you can be assured that your visit will be a great one.

Bursting with character and its high ceiling beams, you can sit back and relax with a quality ale and carvery from 12:00pm to 5:30pm in this cosy pub.

This pub is in a great location, surrounded by St Austell Bay. This means that you can spend the morning exploring the sandy beaches, and after a few hours of strolling a Sunday roast will be something everyone will be wanting!

Take a seat and be greeted by a big plate of goodness, certain to put a smile on everyone’s faces.

The pub is completely family friendly, and dogs on leads are more than welcome.

Porthminster Kitchen, St Ives

Porthminster Kitchen's infamous roasts are something you don't want to miss. They're served up until 15th of May, so head on down for a delicious meal and experience the sights of St Ives. 

The Sunday menu changes slightly every week, keeping these fresh and updated. The Kitchen also provides a half portion for kids and those with a smaller appetite. Vegetarian, dairy free and gluten free options are also available but notice is required three days before. 

Sunday lunch with all of the trimmings is served from 12pm until 4pm. On the odd occasion that there's left overs, you can enjoy a roast in the evening!

It is strongly recommended that you book in advance due to popular demand. 

The Queens Arms, Breage Helston

This traditional public house is family friendly and ready to serve you a great roast dinner.

All of the dishes are served with locally sourced meat and vegetables sourced from the pub allotments. Accompany your dish with a drink, there’s a great selection of Real Ales – with eight hand pulls!

It’s a cosy location but also provides a large outdoor space, which is perfect for alfresco dining come rain or shine.

The pub often features many live bands, providing a great night of entertainment and great fun for everyone to enjoy.

Their roast is served every Sunday: 12pm – 3pm and 6pm – 8pm.

The Old Shire Inn, Camborne

The Old Shire Inn is a great location to indulge in a hearty Sunday roast dinner! It’s located just outside Camborne, and offers a friendly service and warm atmosphere.

The Inn serves a great carvery every single evening and all day Sunday. It’s a real treat, whether you want a cosy evening visit or a comforting Sunday lunch.

There’s also a Nut Roast suitable for vegetarians and a Childs Carvery for under 12s to enjoy the delicious food on offer.

All of the dishes are created using seasonal ingredients, and sourced from local farms.

Don’t forget to try the Inn’s delicious desserts - if you’re not too full!

The Inn For All Seasons can be found in Redruth, offering a warm welcome and a roast dinner served every single day of the week!

This family run hotel and restaurant, has excellent service, friendly faces and a great atmosphere. So if you don’t fancy cooking tonight, head on down to The Inn For All Seasons for a real treat.

They are very popular with their carvery, served every lunchtime and evening. Providing a choice of three quality local meats and a great selection of fresh and seasonal vegetables.

It’s a great spot for a home cooked meal, certain to hit the spot for the whole family.
