What’s On In Cornwall This April

Spring has arrived and there’s loads of family fun to get involved with this April. From fairy tales to yoga in Eden Project’s biomes. It’s going to be a month of adventure and new experiences!

Storytelling at The Minack

The Two Wizards is a new show by the master storyteller John Brolly in the beautiful Minack theatre.

John Brolly tells this enchanting original tale of wizard wars and magic in the Cornish mist. Packed full of comical and interactive madness – join in with the fun!

Frozen’s Elsa and Olaf visit Flambards

‘Let it Go’ this April. The much-loved Frozen characters, Elsa and Olaf are all set to visit Flambards, Helston on Monday 28 March.

Olaf the Snowman is by far the friendliest snowman to walk the mountains above Arendelle and he will be heading down to the Flambards Stage alongside Elsa, ready to chat to children and to take selfies with them too!

Come along and sing along to the very catchy ‘Let it Go’.

Looe Island Guided Walk

For the perfect day out in the Cornish sunshine why not take a boat trip to the beautiful island of Looe.

Join the warden for a guided walk around the island. During the 3-hour visit keep a look out for the Island’s key wildlife. You’ll also learn all about the challenges of island life and what great work the Trust undertakes.

Yoga In The Biomes

Relax and unwind the stresses of life with Yoga in the biomes at the Eden Project. Attend the drop-in sessions in their Mediterranean Biome and Core building on Saturday 16th & 17th April.

The session is being taken by professional yoga instructors ‘Breathe Yoga’ in the beautiful tropical surroundings of the largest indoor rainforest in the world.

Engine House Tours at Heartlands

Heartlands holds Engine House Tours daily at 12:00pm. Discover Robinson’s Shaft – it worked at this site between 1903 and 1955. Designed by Captain Samuel Grose, a pupil of Richard Trevithick and built by Vivian and Co.

It’s now under restoration but you’re more than welcome to come and find the treasures which lie within!

The Mousehole Cat, Minack

Towards the end of the month from 29th April, The Mousehole Cat is heading to the world’s famous outdoor Minack theatre.

This is a visually stunning on stage version of Antonia Barber and Nicola Bayley’s classic Cornish children’s story.

It's a great show with stunning views you can’t afford to miss!

Saltash May Fair

Saltash May Fair is an annual event all about celebrating the stunning history for Saltash.

With a large outdoor market and live music at Longstone Park, it is a pedestrian haven with a wide variety of live entertainment along Fore Street and even a Village Fete in Victoria Gardens.

This years May Fair is set to be one of the biggest yet!
