Eden Project: What’s On In April

eden project

The Eden Project continues to add amazing events to their calendar and this April there are lots of exciting events happening for the whole family to enjoy!

Egg Extravaganza

Up until the 10th April the whole family can hold onto Easter with Eden’s Easter egg hunts! All of these activities are included in your admission ticket. The Eggstravaganza will give you a chance to compete in Eden’s assault course and play loads of egg themed games. It’s the perfect event for all ages, so head on down for a great family outing!

There are eggs scattered and hidden all across the Eden Project, so keep your eyes peeled – if you spot a golden egg, you will win a special prize!

Year round short gardening courses

All year round, Eden offers amazing gardening courses available – taught by Eden gardeners. You can choose from a range of half, full or two day courses throughout the year.

16 April enjoy a one-day horticulture course taught in Eden’s nursery of ‘seed propagation’.

It will be a fun day, learning new skills and an experience you can enjoy. Perfect for those who are a keen amateur, or want to begin a career in horticulture.

Courses like these are a great chance to meet new people, build upon your skills and find a course which suits you. You could also do the full eight courses to work towards the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh and Eden Project Certificate in Practical Horticulture.

Grab an evening meal at the Med Terrace

This Mediterranean inspired spot is a real treat, filled with amazing meals to try for the whole family. There’s so many tasty bites to choose from including: authentic Spanish paella, tortellini, stone baked pizza, salads and so much more.

It’s the perfect treat during a spring or summer evening.

Storytelling in the biomes

Every day you can experience magical storytelling inside the Mediterranean Biome. The stories can be enjoyed by all ages, and the sessions last between 15 – 30 minutes at 12pm and 2pm each day.

Expect to become enchanted by the wonderful stories told by Eden’s storytellers. Hear all about local Cornish folk stories to fables which speak of rainforest plants all the way from the Amazon.

Hangloose

Eden Project provides a thrilling day out for the family – why not get your heart racing on one of Eden’s Hangloose activities. From flying on England’s longest and fastest zip wire, jumping from a 65ft cliff edge to swinging on a huge swing. It’s something a little different than your average day, and also an activity where you can gain tremendous views over the site.

Yoga in the biomes

Stretch, breathe and enjoy the relaxation of your surroundings as you do yoga in the biomes.

This April you can join in with yoga classes, taught by some of Cornwall’s best yoga instructors. Choose from drop-in sessions in the Mediterranean Biome and Core building or a hot yoga session by Breathe Yoga in the Rainforest Biome – which you will need to book for in advance.

It’s a fantastic experience, being surrounded by beautiful tropical plants.
