What better way to spend an afternoon than strolling around a Cornish vineyard and sipping upon Cornish wine?

There’s plenty of vineyards to choose from, with the chance to learn about its history, production and most importantly – the taste!

Cornwall provides a mild climate, perfect for the growing of grapes and production of fine wines.

Polgoon produces artisan Cornish ciders, wines and juices on its farm within Cornwall. They warmly welcome you to come and visit the vineyard, have a guided tour and even have a little taste!

If you want a tour of this incredible vineyard, you will be able to gain a feel of the location with the winemakers. Stroll around for over an hour, as you smell the sweet scents and weave through learning about how their products are made.

You will learn how the vineyard is cared for, as well as their pruning regimes and gaining an insight of a working day here at the vineyard.

Great news! Your tour will end with a delicious tasting of 5 Polgoon products, which includes sparkling wines, still wines and their very own award winning ciders.

Tours cost £10 per person, and children can attend for free – so bring the whole family along for a good explore of this great location.

Your pup can also join in with the fun, upon the vineyard with fresh water supplied outside the shop.

Camel Valley Vineyard

Camel Valley Vineyard is passionate about producing award-winning, world-class wines since 1989.

The vineyards are bursting with fresh grapes, soaking up the sun in this fantastic setting within slopes near the Camel River. The grapes can grow effortlessly here in this climate, with the combination of traditional and modern approaches to make the wine.

Situated in the Cornish countryside, Camel Valley Vineyard has an idyllic setting for a lovely visit.

Whether you want to enjoy a glass of wine upon the terrace, or a tour of this stunning location – you will enjoy every minute spent here.

The tours are a great way to see the workings of the vineyard, it’s a magical experience as you make your way around. The tours are completely relaxed and a lovely family day out to enjoy in the sun.

Do you like the sound of it? If you want to stay a little longer, the vineyard provides accommodation on site, overlooking the stunning views of the vineyard.

There are two tours to choose from:

Grand Tour & Tasting: £15 per person

Guided Tour: £8.50 per person

Bosue Vineyard

Boscue Vineyard is located in the lovely village of St. Ewe, looked after by Paul and Liz. The south facing slopes create the ideal setting for grapes to grow to utter perfection, with the mild Cornish climate.

The vineyard is situated near beautiful locations such as The Lost Gardens of Heligan, Mevagissey and St Austell.

The vineyard is open for visitors from May on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from May to October.

You will be able to buy their delicious wine from the Cellar Door, and of course get the chance to have a tour of the location. Get yourself a range of wines to choose from including white, rose and sparkling wines!

Knightor Winery and Restaurant

Enjoy a day out at Knightor Winery and Restaurant, for exploring and trying something new!

The winery provides quality, still and sparkling wines – creating amazing flavours, perfect to accompany a meal or give as a gift.

Knightor Winery’s tours are a great chance to go behind the scenes and gain an insight into the production of the wine.

Discover the many varieties of grapes grown at the vineyard, learn tips to grow your own and take a look at the winery. End the tour with a satisfying taste session - a perfect day out to enjoy with a loved one.

A guided tour is £10 per person and runs daily at 11am and 3pm Thursday to Sunday.

Not only can you explore the vineyard, you can also relax and unwind at the vineyard’s restaurant. This spot provides a whole range of goodies including light snacks, drinks and many feast nights!

Polmassick Vineyard

Enjoy high quality Cornish wine at Polmassick Vineyard in St Ewe. The vineyard will re-open this May for you to come an explore. Polmassick say the vineyard is the “oldest” vineyard in Cornwall, planted in 1976.

Visit this vineyard for a chance to discover their history, and also tasting the tempting wine. Bring the family for a self-guided walk around the vineyard, it’s a relaxing way to experience what’s on offer.

When the sun is shining, enjoy cream teas and light refreshments.

There is no admission charge – go enjoy this stunning location and bring along the dog!
