Bodmin is a great town in the centre of Cornwall and a wonderful area to discover with the family. There’s so much to do, whether you want to explore Bodmin Moor or visit a historic house in the country - it will be great family fun!

Bodmin Jail is filled with dark secrets, stories and mystery.

The Jail is famous for once holding The Crown Jewels as well as holding state papers during the First World War and also the doomsday book.

The jail is now open to the public, giving you the chance to unfold the history and experience the atmosphere of this location as it once was. Walk through the cells, with barred windows and of course feel the chill!

The owners use the profits from the business to make sure the jail does not waste away with decay. They plan to revive the roofs, internal structures and cells to create a great experience for those wishing to walk through this historic building.
